An ugly family fight between TN Chief Minister Karunanidhi's family and Maran's family has resulted in a new TV channel. Kalaignar TV.
With the blessings of (and fundings from) Karunanidhi, Raj TV is going to announce the launch of new TV on 03-Jun when CM celebrates his 83rd birthday.
When I watch news from Sun TV, I would feel, 'okay great, in this DMK government people are happy, lot of good things are happening..!'.
When I watch news from Jaya TV, I would feel, 'oh God, looks like DMK government is pathetic, why don't they do some good things to public?'
As the telecast time of news in these two channels are one-after-another, by mistake(!) if I watch news from both the channels on the same day, I would feel frustrated.

In all these chaos, people totally forgot about the 3 people who died in this incident.
I appreciate Suntv to maintain the same pace after the fight. They did not degrade themself by broadcasting news to defame DMK after the fight. Unlike, DMK has shown protest against sun tv wherever possible. Many times it was ugly. It's sudden rush and fond towards to Raj TV shows that DMK needs replacement to SUNTV and obviously shows that SUNTV was integral asset of DMK. If there is DMK or not SUN will survive. During ADMK period, nothing could be done against SUN TV. Most of the happenings are due to kiss assess (Allakai) who want to please their boss. Incident in Madurai or after are clear example for these kiss assess.
Kalaingar started this "Varisu" politics and he is reaping the benefits. The cost will be too high. Let us what people think in Madurai mid election

Sun has builded its network strongly in south India. Second largest in India.

Vijay TV programs are better and news from Vijay TV is fair.

@ Arasa - I dont remember seeing news in Vijay at all. I think they dont have news in that channel.
Vijay is coming up good. One major problem is every now and then during prime time vijay telecasts some old programmes. That's a serious flaw, I think.
Some programmes are very innovative in Vijay. I guess STAR TV's think tank is giving good inputs to Vijay.
Still, Vijay has lots of room for improvement.
I don't see any major impact on Sun TV's share price due to this issue.
Raj TV share price went up by 35 %

A serial 'kolangal' started years back- and thats how Sun TV is running succesfully.
Sometime back one of my relatives refused to stay in my home as we don't get Sun TV- thats how this particular network has created impact on public(especially rural areas).
Already into politics are-many sons, many grand children, and now even his daughter; a whole dynasty.Oops.... no more politics!!!

Actually this Maran and folks are not grateful. Their father was groomed by Karunanidhi even when he was a idiot. Why people are so ungrateful ? Pathetic. The Sun TV was started to be party's tv and people's tv. But see what tehy came to be. Another commercial tv. We really need a TV for the DMK. Or Tamil is dead. !
We dont care if it is dynasty politics. We only care if they are true to Dravidian ideology.
Marans have gone the MGR way. What is so common with these Yettayappars is they will use Anna's name, symbol and everything and get votes from people. But wont follow his words.
